| A late stage start-up with over $200 million of venture capital funding approached us to establish and staff a state of the art fiber optic device packaging and automation facility. Inov leased a facility and recruited the best talent from around the country. The first project's demanding 6 month design goals were met in 4 months. Concurrently, the laboratory space and clean rooms were brought on line and opto-mechanical designs for automated packaging equipment were implemented. Equipment brought in from vendors included laser welding systems, non-contact soldering equiment, glove-box seam sealers, and leak testing stations. Inov oversaw a smooth transition to the company's management team. Industrial engineers with many years experience in the opto-electronics packaging field developed volume production models based on our automated production system, equipment, methods, and verified that Inov's automated process was more efficient than the existing manual assembly proceedures. |
