Product Development

A client approached us to complement their existing line of medical magnification products. They needed four precise magnifications, as well as illumination accessories. The market place was competitive with inferior designs having spurious images, poor resolutions, tiny fields of view, excessive weight and often inadequate alignment to the user's face.

Utilizing unique optical and mechanical designs, we eliminated problems of the competitors in a light weight package, surpassing the competition in every category. Not only did we design and fabricate a product line with accessories, but we developed an accurate sales system. The sales team could precisely fit the Scopes to individual doctors via a system of simple measurements that were tied into a computer algorithm to control automated manufacturing equipment, also developed by Inov. The result, a perfect fit for the customer, eliminating the typical 25% initial failure rate. The first 100 units sent to customers were followed up with extensive interviews. All the customers interviewed were satisfied.
